72 hours before you arrive and depart, you must visit this website https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/and fill out entry forms for the DR government. The form is very simple but there are a few things to take note of:
- Make sure to select your language in the upper right-hand side of the website.
- Click on e-ticket application.

- Fill out the forms accordingly.
- The address of the condo is:

Internet & phone service
Bring lots of five- and ten-dollar USD bills for tips. Visa and Mastercard are accepted everywhere. American Express is also accepted, but mostly at restaurants. Restaurant tips average 10-15%. The waitstaff appreciate cash tips. Be sure to only tip on the subtotal and not the taxes
Know your pesos
All retailers here accept US dollars, but we recommend you understand the Dominican peso-to-USD exchange rate. You can download many helpful apps. Here is a general guideline (rates subject to change daily):
- 100 DOP = USD $1.82
- 1,000 DOP = USD $18.16
- 5,000 DOP = USD $90.78
- 10,000 DOP = USD $ 181.55

conectar
(Connect)

WhatsApp!
Before you leave. please download Facebook’s texting app, What’s App. It will allow you to connect with your concierge, Ingrid Alfaro, and local businesses.
This is the most reliable way to communicate with service providers and businesses in the Dominican Republic.
Google Translate
If you do not speak Spanish, we strongly recommend that you download the FULL Google Translate app or another translation app that doesn’t require wireless or phone service onto your phone. While most of the people you meet will speak a little English, the app makes everyone more confident.

Unlike in the U.S., where companies rely on websites, in the DR Instagram is the main platform businesses use to promote their services and products.
transporte
(Transportation from the airport)
Airport to Condo Transportation Options
You can take a taxi, rent a car at the airport, or Ingrid can send a trusted driver with a van to pick you up. Please provide her with your flight details.
Airport to Condo Transportation Options
The driver will have a sign with your name on it.
Let the driver know if you’d like to stop at the grocery store on the way so you can stock up on food for your stay. There is a small grocery store inside of the Cap Cana resort as well as the Nacional supermarket. You’ll find many familiar products, plus, you’ll discover more!
Pay the driver directly: US$30 Airport to Property in Cap Cana (up to 6 people – depending on luggage) + US$15 extra if he takes you to the large supermarket first!
Leaving the airport by taxi
There are plenty of cab drivers looking for customers when you arrive. Tell them:
- Cap Cana
- Punta Palmera Condominium
- If needed, show them these directions https://goo.gl/maps/1U9imM9V3ztKgV117
Leaving the airport by rental car
You can rent a car at the airport (all major companies are represented. If you are renting a car, please follow the signs to the car rental location across the street from the airport. It’s only a short walk. RENT A SMALL CAR – parking is tight!
- Leaving the Punta Cana airport, turn right
- Turn left at the United Petroleum Gas station (on your right) and Blue Mall (on your left)
- Follow the road for 10 minutes directly to the main entrance of Cap Cana.
- Your name will be registered at the gate.
Make sure to have your gate code available on your phone. Here are directions: https://goo.gl/maps/1U9imM9V3ztKgV117
Our condo comes with a designated parking spot in the underground garage. When you pull in the garage, turn right until the end, then turn left. Take this aisle to the end and turn right. A28 will be right in front of you.
The parking spots are not logically numbered so you might have to drive around. Just know, the spot is in the back of the parking area and to the right, located against the wall in between the elevator and stairwell.
